Creaking at the Joints

So, in a moment of questionable judgment, I found myself agreeing to run a 10k for WaterAid on September 21. My training regimen? Oh, just a few leisurely 5k jogs at a speed that would make a tortoise feel like Usain Bolt. Surprise, surprise, my right knee decided to throw a tantrum just 100 meters into the race. Fast forward two weeks, and I'm thrilled to report that my knee has stopped its protest, and I can now conquer stairs without wincing like a soap opera star. After a thorough consultation with Dr. Google, I've self-diagnosed with patellofemoral pain syndrome, also known as runner's knee. Apparently, my muscles have gone on a long vacation, courtesy of my 8-hour daily desk-sitting marathon. Time to dig out my trainers and remind my muscles what their job is!
